Inaugural Seafood Festival

Ray's Restaurants Inaugural Seafood Festival will take place at Ray's on the River on Saturday, Oct. 4, from 11:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Culinary demonstrations will include the handling and selecting of shellfish, shucking oysters and clams, peeling and de-veining shrimp, cutting fish correctly and more.

Attendees will enjoy a New England seafood station with clam chowder andlobster rolls, Raw Bar with oysters, clams and shrimp, Cajun station with dirty rice, gumbo and blackened fish and Low Country Station with crab bisque and shrimp and grits.

A Farm to Table station with local market specialties including fish kabobs, salads and breads and a dessert station will be featured as well. On-site wine demonstrations courtesy of Kendall-Jackson Wine Estates and Artisans & Estates wineries will also be part of the festivities.

The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) will also participate in the event by offering special recipes and educational information.

Admission to Ray's Restaurants Inaugural Seafood Festival is $10 for advance ticket purchases and $15 for tickets purchased the day of the event. Admission includes five food tickets. Additional food tickets ($1 each) are available and children 10 and under receive free admission. Advance ticket purchases are encouraged as space is limited. Advance ticket purchases must be made before Oct. 4. Upper Chattahoochee Riverkeeper (UCR) is the designated beneficiary of the event.
