Lenny Robinson Joins PEASANT Bistro Team

PEASANT bistro owners, Maureen Kalmanson and Pamela Furr are proud to welcome Lenny Robinson as the new executive chef. With 15 years professional kitchen experience, Robinson brings both an abundance of cooking expertise and a love for creative foods to PEASANT bistro's kitchen.

"We are thrilled that Chef Robinson is now a part of our team," said owner Maureen Kalmanson. We are confident that he will continue to enhance our fresh, seasonal cuisine with his extensive knowledge of French and Mediterranean cooking techniques and his exceptional palate."

Originally from Cherry Hill, N.J., Robinson has been serving Atlanta his unique twist on Mediterranean and Provencal cuisine since he came to Atlanta in 1994 to work with Tom Catherall at Tom Tom. He then opened Anis in 1996, showing the beauty of the simple and delicious tastes that create this style of French cooking during his eight years as executive chef. Robinson left Anis to open Mosaic, where the coastal Mediterranean menu was well received. Soon after his work at Mosaic, he had the opportunity as owner and chef to open Les Fluers De Lis in the Healey Building in downtown Atlanta, earning Best French Restaurant 2006 from Creative Loafing.

Robinson is now bringing his palate and history of success to PEASANT bistro in the Luckie Marietta District downtown, lending his talents to the restaurant's bistro favorites with French and Mediterranean influences.

PEASANT bistro is a two-story restaurant overlooking Centennial Olympic Park and the Atlanta skyline. Entering the restaurant, guests are greeted by a grand, sweeping staircase leading up to the main dining room where dark walnut-stained wood floors, intimate spaces and balconies overlook the bar below creating a romantic yet modern setting. Whether planning rehearsal dinners, business functions, celebrations or reunions, PEASANT bistro offers guests many options to suit their specific needs.
