American Roadhouse Celebrates 20th Year

American Roadhouse, located at 842 North Highland Ave. in Virginia Highland, is celebrating this month and all year long, as the long-standing neighborhood eatery is turning 20-years-old on January 24, 2009. The year-long 20th anniversary celebration will kick off the week of January 18th with a 20 percent discount (available online through its e-mail club). Special promotions and activities will run throughout the year.

What started out as a neighborhood eatery has also branched out with a catering company. American Roadhouse offers brunch, breakfast, box lunches, and blue plates served at any location throughout the area. According to co-owner Ed Udoff, they also offer a BBQ at any location, bringing in a six-foot BBQ grill, chef and all the fixings. They also cater private parties in the restaurant.

American Roadhouse manages food concession operations at youth ballparks around the city. Udoff and Maslia believe in giving back to the community and offer charity driven promotions such as food drives, donations from blue plates to Habitat for Humanity, and promotions for elementary and middle schools.
