Taco Mac Celebrates 30th Anniversary in 2009

Taco Mac marks 30 years of delicious Buffalo wings, an unparalleled beer selection, great atmosphere and service. For some, turning 30 means the end of an era, but Taco Mac is just getting started.

During each quarter of 2009, Taco Mac will bring back classic menu items from the past 30 years to celebrate its 30th anniversary. Anniversary menu items will include the Burrito Dog Supreme, an all beef hot dog wrapped in a flour tortilla topped with Taco Mac's homemade chili, cheese and onions; the Taco Sub, where delicious seasoned ground beef is stuffed into a sub roll topped with Taco Mac's signature queso, shredded lettuce and tomatoes; the Italian, a Char-grilled hot Italian Sausage covered with sautéed peppers, onions and Swiss-American cheese; and the Stuey Special, which features grilled chicken topped with sliced ham, mushrooms, onions and melted Swiss on Taco Mac's twisted egg roll and served with a side of honey mustard.

These blasts from the past will honor Taco Mac customers who have been loyal to the restaurant since the opening of the original Virginia Highland location. Guests turning 30 in 2009 can come to Taco Mac on their 30th birthday (must show proof with driver's license) to receive a free 30th anniversary menu item. Each guest celebrating his or her 30th birthday at Taco Mac will have the opportunity to enter into a monthly drawing where the winner will receive a $30 Taco Mac gift certificate. At the end of 2009, all 12 monthly drawing winners will be entered into a drawing to receive a $300 Taco Mac gift certificate.

There are a few additional surprises in store for 2009, so Taco Mac guests should keep their ear to the ground for breaking news throughout the year. www.tacomac.com
