Piccadilly Donates Food to Habitat for Humanity Build

Piccadilly Restaurants, LLC has teamed up with WSB-AM to provide lunch for nationally syndicated radio host, Clark Howard's 13th annual Habitat for Humanity build.

"We are so thankful for Piccadilly's gracious donation to our dedicated volunteers," said Howard. "Piccadilly's food is sure to be a hit and keep our volunteers pumped up all day."

Lead by General Manager Steve Jenkins and Assistant General Manager Richard Oelsner, Piccadilly will be providing an energizing meal of chicken jambalaya and blackened shrimp pasta for 250 Habitat volunteers on February 21 and 28. The volunteers will also be treated to Piccadilly's famous red velvet cake, a local favorite since 1944.

Howard has helped build 25 homes in the past 12 years. This year, he is sponsoring five new homes. The project began Monday, February 2, and continues each Saturday, including some Fridays, thereafter until the homes are dedicated to their new owners on Saturday, March 21.

Headquartered in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, Piccadilly Restaurants, LLC has been serving Louisiana families since 1944. Currently, Piccadilly operates approximately 120 food service operations with more than 5000 team members primarily located in the Southeastern United States.

Here I thought that all of the restaurants in Piccadilly had clubbed together to make a donation where in fact it was a company called Picadilly Restaurants behind the goodwill. It's great to see large businesses giving back to the community either way.
