Home Restaurant Chef Hosts Cooking Class for Charity

Chef Toledo of Home Restaurant and Bar will instruct a cooking class March 16 to benefit Atlanta's Table, an ongoing series of Atlanta Community Food Bank. The Simple Abundance Cooking class will feature fresh farm to table ingredients; with the help of Chef Toledo, guests will learn how to bring the same cuisine to their kitchen tables.

The course will demonstrate how to prepare crab cakes with brussel sprout slaw, duck breast with roasted parsnips and banana cotta with vanilla wafers. The evening also includes wine tastes sponsored by Sherlock's Wine Merchant and a chance to win tasty door prizes provided by Atlanta Beverage, Bella Cucina Artful Foods, Cabot Cheese and Via Elisa Authentic Fresh Pasta.

The course will take place Monday, March 16, from 7 - 9 p.m. at the Cook's Warehouse Brookhaven. The cost per person is $55, and 100% of the proceeds go to support Atlanta's Table, the prepared food rescue project of the Atlanta Community Food Bank.

For more information, call (404) 892-3333, ext. 1444 or register online for this class at www.acfb.org/events/simple_abundance
