Max's Opens in Marietta District

Concentrics Restaurants is proud to announce the opening of its newest restaurant Max's Coal Oven Pizzeria in late spring 2009. The third Concentrics venture in downtown Atlanta's thriving, walkable Luckie Marietta District, Max's will wow Atlantans with the simple and authentic pizza that New Yorkers have loved for years, courtesy of New York native and pizza lover Chef Nick Oltarsh. The restaurant's signature feature, the only genuine coal-burning oven in Georgia, enables Max's to serve perfectly crisp and piping hot pizzas, creating a unique taste and texture that has been a hallmark of New York City pizzerias for more than a century. Embracing the traditional art of pizza making, Max's invites guests to enjoy a taste of the Big Apple's best paired with Atlanta's Southern hospitality.

Max's is all about the pizza, and the pizza is all about the crust. And Max's has created the perfect dough, light with some spring to it, yet crusty with a chewy and elastic quality. Atop this foundation sits Max's secret recipe red sauce, an Oltarsh family favorite. House-made mozzarella, classic meats and fresh vegetables supply the finishing touches. From sausage and pepperoni to peppers and onions, simple yet flavorful combinations define the menu at Max's.

In addition to traditional 14-inch and 18-inch pizzas, Max's offers a selection of classic salads, pastas, hot and cold Italian sandwiches and signature coal-oven wings. A daily chef's choice of pasta and pizza available by the slice highlights the season's freshest ingredients. For a sweet end to any meal, guests can indulge in homemade gelato made fresh daily with changing flavors. With convenient to-go and delivery options, Max's specialties are meant to be enjoyed throughout the city. Conveniently situated next to STATS in the burgeoning Luckie Marietta District, Max's to-go orders make for the ideal picnic in Centennial Olympic Park, while sports fans can take Max's to-go to enjoy while tailgating before a big game. Max's delivery and to-go orders are also a great way to gather the family around the kitchen table.

Max's bar offers the perfect approachable beverage selection to match the menu. Max's pizza pairs perfectly with one of four cold beers on tap including local favorites. Another selection of beers is offered by the bottle, and six reds and six whites comprise the wine list. Max's also offers a full liquor bar.
