New Restaurant Offerings at Atlantic Station

Atlantic Station is announcing the addition of two new dining options to the thriving mixed-use community. Kilwin's, a chocolates & ice cream shop, and Subway, the sub sandwich eatery, will soon open as the latest additions to the ever-growing live/work/play neighborhood in Midtown, Atlanta.

Kilwin's is a chocolates and ice cream franchise that offers unique handmade confections ­ including peanut brittle, fudge and caramel apples, ice cream in original flavors, special occasion treats and gift baskets. Patrons can also watch as the famous handmade fudge is made right in the store. This will be the first Atlanta location for the confectionary shop, which boasts locations in other family-friendly destinations such as Highlands, NC, Charleston and Savannah.

Kilwin's will hold a grand opening celebration on this week. Friends and families are invited to join the festivities, enjoy Kilwin's handmade treats.

Atlanta's newest Subway franchise will be the very first area location to be finished in Subway's new upscale Tuscany II décor. Subway will provide tenants, visitors and residents to the community with a fresh, quick-service dining option. The sandwich chain offers healthy sub sandwiches, wraps and catering in over 30,000 locations.

The sub shop is now open and will host a grand opening celebration next month, offering six-inch sandwiches for $1.99 with purchase of a medium drink. www.atlanticstation.com

New Restaurants at Atlantic Station

Tin Drum Asia Café, the Atlanta-based fast-casual restaurant, is opening its fourth Atlanta location this month in Atlantic Station on “Eat Street” near Copeland’s Cheesecake Bistro and Boneheads. The enticing café provides diners with a variety of fresh Asian cuisine, offering spring and drum rolls, rice and noodle dishes, soups and salads. Tin Drum Asia Café is known for offering its guests large portions at a small price.

Kilwin's Chocolates & Ice Cream is slated to open in November next to the Washington Mutual and Geisha House on Atlantic Drive. This will be the first Atlanta location for Kilwin's, which boasts confectionery shops in Highlands, N.C.; Charleston; Savannah and other great family destinations .

Quick Bites

Tin Drum Asian Cafe will take over the old Au Bon Pain location in Atlantic Station in the fall.

Varsano's, a Neopolitan-style pizza restaurant and wine bar, will open in the Mezzo condos on Peachtree Road in Buckhead in the fall.

Noni's Bar and Grill will open any minute now at 357 Edgewood Ave. This Italian-style deli and bar is being helmed by Chef Matt Rupert.

Dine Out For Kids will be held on Sept. 16 at restaurants around Intown. The event benefits non-profit, Communities In School, which works to keep children in school. A complete list of restaurants will be announced soon at www.dineoutforkids.com.
