Real Men Cook Event, June 15

Real Men Cook For Charity Atlanta will be held on Sunday, June 15, at the Georgia Railroad Depot next to Underground Atlanta from 3-6 p.m. Food fun and family will be the order of the day as more than 100 men who cook, chefs, caterers and restaurants serve up culinary delights for nearly 2,000 guests. This salute to African American men who give back to their community while showing off their culinary skills is a popular and must attend event for Father’s Day.

“We are excited to once again showcase the skills of the men of Atlanta while assisting local charities with marketing and fundraising. We are proud to have Communities In Schools, Soul Food Museum and the Lupus Foundation of America Georgia Chapter as our charity partners for 2008 says Diane Larche, RMC Atlanta event manager. “We are also pleased to have Hartsfield Jackson International Airport General Manager Ben DeCosta, Georgia Power Manager Nelson Geter, Congressman John Lewis, Ambassador Andrew Young, Radio One Station Manager Frank Johnson, State Senator Emanuel Jones and Attorney Marvin Arrington as honorary chairmen.
