Danneman's, the newish coffee shop in the Old Fourth Ward, now offers customers the chance to receive a free medium cup of regular coffee in return for bringing in a gently used book to help stock its lending library. Customers can check out books from the library on the honor system, and bring the books back when they are finished.
Customers are also welcome to linger with their books at Danneman's while enjoying the locally roasted coffee, freshly baked pastries and breakfast foods, and selection of sandwiches and salads.
Danneman's also hosts an array of events and art openings, modern dance classes, Tango Milonga's, open-mic nights, DJ's, live music, and more on its spacious second floor. The second floor is also available to rent for special events and private parties.
