Eating local and eating green are all the rage these days. Guests at the first Green & Healthy Gourmet Lounge at the Georgia World Congress Center will have a chance to find out just how many opportunities there are to eat like gourmands while keeping the planet in mind right here in Atlanta. The event will feature a food and wine tasting, pairing local Atlanta cuisine with organic wines and beers. Green & Healthy Gourmet Lounge benefits Project Green.
Project Green is a non-profit 501c3 whose mission is to invest in "Tomorrow's Future" by protecting green land and developing an annual summer camp for less-fortunate children.
Green & Healthy Gourmet Lounge restaurants and participants will be announced soon. The events will take place Saturday, May 16 from 12 to 5 p.m. and Sunday, May 17 from 12 to 5 p.m. One-day tickets are $25 in advance, and $30 at the door. Tickets are available at www.AliveExpo.com and include entrance to the ALIVE! Expo Health & Wellness Event.
