The Sundial Welcomes New Sous Chef

Chef Ian Forrest brings his love for southern cooking to the Sun Dial Restaurant, Bar and Lounge in his new role as Sous Chef. He was influenced from a young age by his great grandmother's soul food cooking and later attended the prestigious Le Cordon Bleu, from which he completed an internship at the Walt Disney World Caribbean Resort. After graduation, he worked at the Georgia World Congress Center and was on the board of chefs for the Atlanta Falcons, where he cooked for the players and staff. He comes to The Sun Dial from Kevin Rathbun Steak.

Diners can already see Forrest's influence on the menu with new items such as Lobster French Toast, Cornbread and Coca Cola Braised Collard Greens. His Southern influences fare well with Chef Messier's flair for contemporary American cuisine.

The Sun Dial Restaurant, Bar & View is Atlanta's original tri-level complex with a revolving upscale restaurant, a rotating cocktail lounge, as well as an observatory view level. Situated atop the Westin Peachtree Plaza at 210 Peachtree Street in downtown Atlanta, the Sun Dial offers breathtaking 360-degree panoramic views of Atlanta, live jazz, seasonally-influenced contemporary American cuisine and specialty desserts. The Sun Dial is the ultimate Atlanta dining experience, ideal for special occasions, corporate events, celebrations, and as a place to unwind. Visiting the Sun Dial is an Atlanta tradition and a must see and do for Atlanta visitors and residents alike.
